Pregnant + Feeling Overwhelmed?

WE CAN HELP. You are not alone!

If you are feeling unsure of your next steps, we can help. Chester County Connect Care is a non-judgmental safe haven for those who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. All of our services are 100% free and confidential and we can help you figure out where to go from here.

We know you’ve got a lot to think about and and so many questions. The choices you are facing are some of the hardest you’ve ever had to make and you may not even know what your options are.

At Chester County Connect Care, we equip you to make an informed decision with confidence and hope for your future. When women are heard and supported, they find hope. We can medically confirm your pregnancy, help you determine how far along you are with an ultrasound, and let you know what your pregnancy options are; including what abortion procedures are typically used at each stage of pregnancy.

Why should I have an ultrasound? Especially if I’m considering an abortion?

No matter what pregnancy choices you’re considering, a confirmation ultrasound empowers you with important medical information about what’s going on in your body.

1  |  How far along am I? Abortion procedures vary based on the gestational age of the fetus, so you should know how far along you are in your pregnancy.

2  |  Is the pregnancy in my uterus? An ectopic pregnancy (or tubal pregnancy) can pose a life-threatening risk to you. Because abortion procedures focus on emptying the uterus only, you need to be sure that your pregnancy is located in your uterus and not in your fallopian tubes.  An abortion won’t resolve this obstetric complication.

3  |  Is the pregnancy viable? A non-viable pregnancy will end in natural miscarriage. Miscarriage rates can be as high as 20-31%. An ultrasound can tell you if your pregnancy is non-viable (no heartbeat) so you can seek further medical care and avoid an unneeded abortion procedure.

What does my FREE appointment include and what can I expect?

  • Prior to your appointment, you will receive a confirmation via text/email including links to consents and health info forms (please complete prior to arrival)

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment so that you can provide us your photo ID and make sure your intake forms are completed. (parking can be tricky at the West Chester location - please allow extra time)

  • If having an ultrasound, it’s best to drink liquids prior to your appointment and come with a full bladder.

  • You are welcome to bring your partner or support person with you.

  • When you step inside our doors, you are in a safe place. You will be welcomed into our homey reception area by one of our Client Advocates.

  • Our Client Advocates are non-medical personnel who walks with you through your appointment helping you find answers for all of your important questions.

  • We will then collect a urine sample for a pregnancy test – lab-quality urine test, read by a medical professional

  • You will then meet with a Registered Nurse from our medical team to discuss your pregnancy test results, medical history, potential need for an ultrasound, and plan for the pregnancy and your next steps.

  • Our hope is to offer you a safe place to process these big decisions so you can leave better informed and more confident about your pregnancy options.

  • Ultrasounds are scheduled at the discretion of our medical staff. Sometimes a follow-up ultrasound appointment will be made for a later date.

  • You will also be offered many resources right here at CCCC. Some of these include sessions about Labor and Delivery, Nutrition, and Parenting classes. Our sessions are “earn while you learn” and are then able to shop in our Client Boutique where you redeem your points for baby items.

  • We also can connect you with our Client & Resource Coordinator who can help you with both in-house & community referrals and assistance, depending on your needs.
